SOIL EXPLORATION OF THE UNDERSEA GROUND IN THE SURVEY OF TRANS-TOKYO BAY HIGHWAY PROJECT
The paper discusses the Project and the execution of continuous soil sampling from the Bay bottom with a rotary foil sampler developed by Public Works Research Institute, Ministry of Construction. A large scale SEP (self-elevating platform) was used both for sampling and for other technical observations.
