A LOOK AT A RECENT GAS TURBINE SHIP VENTURE

The basic design considerations for the GTS Adm. Wm. M. Callaghan are presented and compared to the operating experiences with these considerations. Dollar costs are compared to costs in a conventional steam plant. A gas turbine ship design is outlined for a 200,000 DWT tanker.
