ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF A PUBLIC URBAN TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
The paper reports on studies made in France for short, mid- and long-term development of urban transportation, which integrate four main transportation means: public transport, private vehicles, cycles, and walking. All new infrastructure studies concern both the thoroughfares and public transportation. Described in the paper are the various methods and models used, as well as the applications of these to planning for the city of Nice.
