SHIP STRUCTURAL DESIGN FOR EXTREME LOADS
Basic calculation procedures for behavior of ships in heavy sea are reviewed. Longitudinal strength is being determined on the basis of reliability principles. The need for more reliable method in design of ship's structure is emphasized.
