SEARCH TACTICS FOR FINDING LOST OBJECTS AT SEA
Quite often a mariner is faced with the problem of finding an object at sea which is stationary and located either on the surface or at the bottom of the sea. Such a problem is normally diffcult to resolve. The article presents a mathematical solution to such a problem and develops a series of search tactics which may be used. Still, the article explains that the decision making and judgement are the responsibility of those involved in the operation.
