PHYSICAL AND TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE AIRCRAFT NOISE ACT
In March 1971, the Aircraft Noise Act providing protection from aircraft noise was passed in the Federal Republic of Germany. The new law is concerned with the creation of noise protection areas around the airports. The boundaries of the protection zones are defined with the act of a physical parameter, called the equivalent continuous sound level. Attention is given to a forecast of foreseeable traffic the determination of the equivalent continuous sound level, the noise protection area for Dusseldrof Airport, and additional measures required to solve aircraft noise problems.
