FREQUENCY CONTROL OF THE ELECTRIC DRIVES FOR HIGHLY-EFFICIENT ON-BOARD HOISTING MECHANISMS

A drive for a steady-state power of 50 kw is described by which the efficiency of the winches can be raised by 35 to 40%. The frequency control of the drive permits smooth operation of the system. For this purpose frequency converters with intermediate rectification, by the system of rectifier and independent inverter are being used.
