NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING OF A RETAINING WALL BY MEANS OF NATURAL RADIO-ACTIVITY LOGGING
AUSCULTATION D'UN MUR DE SOUTENEMENT PAR DIAGRAPHIE DE RADIO-ACTIVITE NATURELLE
To control the thickness of a concrete retaining wall, natural radioactivity logging was carried out in the drains and drainage openings of this wall. The method uses the fact that there exists a marked contrast in radioactivity between concrete and marble. Details are given of the measurement method used and of the utilization of the charts obtained. /TRRL/
