A LASER SYSTEM FOR TEST SUBJECT POSITIONING IN AUTOMOTIVE SAFETY RESEARCH
Sophistication in crash simulation testing has led to a need for exacting techniques to locate the test subject relative to the impact sled. A laser system is described that facilitates the alignment of a sagittal plane of the subject and the positioning of target points on the subject to specific sagittal plane doordinates relative to the sled. The system is compatible with anthropomorphic dummy, human cadaver, and volunteer subjects. /Author/SRIS/
