MAKE MAXIMUM USE OF YOUR FUELS

Accidental consumption of fuel before it reaches the utilization appliance can be not only hazardous, but extremely wasteful. Conservation practice will include those measures necessary to insure that fuel will not be destroyed before the maximum use of its potential energy has been made. These measures are required all along the fuel cycle: receipt at the plant, storage at the plant, delivery to the point of use, and finally, the utilization appliance. This paper discusses inherent hazards that can occur in handling and burning fuels at the plant.
