SOME CONCEPT FOR ULCC WITH SMALL L/B RATIO
The authors describe a study using a simulation technique to determine optimal dimensions for a tanker capable of operating under conditions of restricted draught as may be encountered in Northern Europe. As a result of this study, the authors have developed a new design for a 400,000-dwt ULCC with L/B ratio as low as 5 and with a restricted manoeuvring tests with 4- and 10-m models.
