LINE POWER FACTOR OF THE ALTERNATIVE METHODS OF SPEED CONTROL
The author reports on results of the field evaluation of various control schemes available. The average power factor was determined by recording the watts and the VAR's during actual train operation. He concludes that the four-quadrant unity power factor control is the best.
