FUTURE TRENDS IN AERO GAS TURBINE DESIGN CONVENTIONAL ENGINES
A range of possible trends in the development of high bypass ratio single stage fan engines designed for application to aircraft cruising at high subsonic Mach numbers is reviewed, placing special emphasis on trends of fuel consumption in the engine thrust sizes.
