EFFECT OF PARALLEL TRAIN SPLITTING OPERATIONS ON MARSHALLING YARD OPERATING RESULTS
VLIJANIE PARALLEL'NOGO ROSPUSKA NA POKAZATELI RABOTY STANCII
This article is based on experience at the Orehovo-Zuevo yard on the Moscow network and in it, there is an examination of the conditions under which train splitting operations can be done on two trains at once. Results are given for the study into the effect this type of process has on the time needed to form trains, the time locomotives are stationary in the reception sidings and on improvements in gravity hump and sorting siding throughput.
