COMMENTS ON ZINC
SUR LE ZINC
This short note deals with the problem of zinc in concrete and its action on cement and concrete. Some disorders attributed to the presence of zinc (loss of strength, low density probably due to the emission of hydrogen caused by the alkaline substances in cement coming into contact with zinc salts) are outlined. Current studies are being conducted at the LCPC to determine the consequences of the action of zinc and zinc salts on the properties of concrete. /TRRL/
