OFFSHORE LIGHTING
All oil installation in the sea areas around Britain are affected by the Mineral Workings (Offshore Installations) Act of 1971 and the consequent regulations. The article gives the gist of these regulations in so far as they concern emergency lighting, which can be supplied from generators or batteries, and gives some information on battery power systems in general and on those available from Chloride Standby Systems Ltd, of Southampton.
