DYNAMICS OF BREAKUP IN SHOREFAST ICE
In March 1973, a 3-cm wavelength radar was installed on the shore near Barrow, Alaska. The radar was used to monitor sea ice conditions up to 16 km offshore. This paper presents the results of ice observations with the radar from the time of its installation until ice break-up and disappearance in early August.
