SEVERE ISOLATED KIDNEY RUPTURES CAUSED BY SEAT BELTS
SEHWERE-ISOLIERTE NIERENRUPTUR DURCH STZGURTHRANUMA
A report is presented on severe, isolated, kidney ruptures which were clearly caused by seat belts. Of note was a minimal external wound in a surgically confirmed complete rupture of the kidney. The literature on seat belt injuries deals only with multiple injuries, which concern mainly stomach organs with or without the involvement of kidneys; in this case the occurrence of severe kidney injuries in isolation is reported. /TRRL/
