ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE PROPELLER BLADE PROFILE ON CAVITATION PROPERTIES
EINE ANALYSE DES EINFLUSSES DER DICKENVERTEILUNG VON FLUEGELSCHNITTEN AUF KAVITATIONSEIGENSCHAFTEN
On the basis of calculations of pressure distribution in two-dimensional flows it is shown that the choice of thickness distribution of blade profiles for flows affecting cavitation is of great importance. Suggestions for optimum thickness distribution of blades for moderate and high speeds are given. A calculation method for determination of cavitation occurrence is presented.
