A PROPOSAL OF ITS SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE CONSIDERING FUNCTIONAL COOPERATION WITH INFRASTRUCTURE
Nowadays, many projects related to ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) have been deployed for different purposes around the world. On the other hand, standardization of information messages or technologies used in ITS is being discussed within ISO (International Organization for Standardization) in order to secure interoperability and reduce development cost. Whether the standardization outcomes will be accepted or not depends on how much the difference of infrastructure improvement level across the countries is considered in ITS architecture. Therefore, this paper proposes an Infrastructure Functional Cooperation Architecture (IFCA) for ITS which emphasizes the functional cooperation between transportation and communication systems. For the covering abstract see IRRD E102946.
