DEVELOPMENT OF LANE DEVIATION WARNING AND PREVENTION SYSTEM THROUGH VISION SYSTEM AND STEERING CONTROL
In this paper methods are described that prevent the vehicle from the lane deviation the lane using vision system and steering control. With the B/W CCD camera, when a driver unintentionally swerves out of the lane, the system prevents the lane deviation traffic accidents. And for the purpose of awakening the driver, it sounds an alarm first. However if the driver's correspondence is insufficient, the lane is kept by autonomous steering control system, which is assigned as LDWPS (Lane Deviation Warning & Preventing System). Experimental results have been proved by implementing the system on the SONATA3 (Hyundai Motor Co.). Also, note that steering control actuator of oil pressure is created by modifying the existing power steering. For the covering abstract see IRRD E102946.
