ON MULTISENSOR DATA FUSION USING ATTRIBUTE ASSOCIATION FOR INTELLIGENT TRAFFIC CONGESTION INFORMATION INFERENCE
This paper presents the results of a feasibility study on employing attribute association algorithms for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) issues. Specifically, the "Dempster-Schafer's Evidential Reasoning" was chosen for investigation and determine the degree of traffic congestion from multisensors on road such as loop detectors, CCD cameras, and verbal reports. This paper addresses the key issues on inferring traffic congestion level of the link where no sensor is established. For the covering abstract see IRRD E102946.
