THE USE OF SIMULATORS IN TRAINING--A PRACTICAL APPROACH
The requirements to a simulator are analysed in terms of the type of training it should provide, the parts of the visual scene and the ship environment it is important to simulate, and the type of simulation facility which provides the most cost effective solution to the above. A ship handling simulator is outlined.
