BITUMEN EMULSION - A LITERATURE SURVEY ON TEST METHODS, SPECIFICATIONS AND FIELDS OF APPLICATION
ASFALTEMULSIONER - EN LITTERATURUTREDNING OM PROVNINGSMETODER, SPECIFIKATIONER OCH ANVAENDNINGSOMRAADEN
Bitumen emulsion is an alternative to other bituminous materials in road construction. This literature survey describes the importance of the emulsifier for the emulsion properties, and the testing of these properties - stability, breaking, viscosity and adherence. There is also a description of the use of bitumen emulsions, dense and open asphaltic emulsion concrete and surface dressing, in pavement design. Bitumen emulsion specifications in different countries and existing test methods for bitumen emulsion properties are outlined. /TRRL/
