ANALYSIS OF PILE GROUPS JOINED BY STIFFNESS BEAMS
The forces and moments at piles heads of pile groups joined by stiffness beams are computed using FORTRAN 77 computer program. Furthermore, the program also computes the displacements. Three different ways of computing the head pile stiffness matrix are used: considering the influence factors obtained in the graphs given by Poulos & Davis; using the lateral modulus of subgrade reaction in a finite differences analysis; and ignoring the soil pile interaction. An example of two pile groups connected by two stiffness beams is presented.
