THE RIGHT BEARING FOR THE RIGHT JOB
Many of today's high-load multi-rotational bridge bearing types are specified as being interchangeable without regard to their particular performance characteristics. This paper draws attention to differences between two popular types of bearing and offers a theory to explain how inappropriate use of one of them may lead to failure.
