ADVANTAGES OF A PROCESS APPROACH TO GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING: IMPLICATIONS FOR CLIENTS
The construction industry is undergoing many changes provoked by a number of initiatives and reports from within and outside the industry. Research work has proposed the use of an explicit process approach to deliver better value for clients. The role of specialist foundation contractors within new ways of working advocated by research and industry initiatives is examined. The achievable benefits are illustrated by reference to three case studies. (A) For the covering abstract see IRRD E102464.
