GUIDE TECHNIQUE: LES VOIES URBAINES

This guide deals with the design and construction of urban roads. The first chapter lists the criteria to be taken into account by the project engineer, if the road network is to adequately fulfil its function. Chapter two defines each element of the transverse profile. The last chapter puts forwards a method for studying transverse profiles and gives some examples of application. This document applies only to new urban roads, seen from the right of way angle. Excluded from the report are urban express roads, exclusive right of way for public transport sources, parking off the road, and pedestrian precincts. /TRRL/
