THE RESEARCH ON APPLICATION OF THE VOID IN MINERAL AGGREGATE (VAM) IN BITUMINOUS MIXTURE DESIGN
The relation between the void in mineral aggregate (VMA) and bituminous mixture' road performance is analyzed in this paper. The void in mineral aggregate is calculated according to the conpose parameters of bituminous mixture, The paper presents a bituminous mixture proportioning design method through controlling the void in mineral aggregate, and the results have been checked out by Marshall test and Wheel Trace test.
