PHYSICAL AND NUMERICAL MODELLING OF THE INTERACTION BETWEEN AN OBSTACLE AND AN ACTIVE LIMITED THICKNESS SLIDE
MODELISATION PHYSIQUE ET NUMERIQUE D'INTERACTION D'UN OBSTACLE ET D'UN GLISSEMENT D'EPAISSEUR LIMITEE
This paper presents the study of the effects of an unstable slope with limited thickness on obstacles such as piers supporting highway structures. The research was carried out with both physical laboratory modelling and 3D numerical modelling. The first results presented concern the cinematic aspects of soil/structures interaction and the stress developed along the piles installed in the landslide.
