EVALUATION OF UNCERTAINTIES IN THE INTERACTION OF WATER, STRUCTURE AND SOIL
In this paper, three different classes of uncertainty are discerned: inherent, statistical and model uncertainty. Special attention is given to uncertainty in hydraulic boundary conditions and sub-soil parameters. Finally, the effect of the uncertainties on the conditional failure rate is analyzed.
