COMPUTER SIMULATION OF POWER SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS FOR HIGH-SPEED FREIGHT OPERATION IN EUROPE
Increasing the commercial speed of freight trains is regarded as an interesting option by several railway companies. In order to verify whether the prevailing power supply systems would be compatible with the operation of high speed freight trains, an analysis based on computer simulation was carried out. This article presents the results obtained.
