ON EXTENDING ACI 318 TO HIGH-STRENGTH CONCRETE
The aim of this paper is to investigate the applicability of ACI 318-95 Building Code provisions (1) to high-strength concrete (HSC). In particular, three of the most widely used design processes are treated here: flexural and shear design of shallow beams and design of columns subjected to axial loads. A thorough analysis is provided in Ali and White (2).
