CONTROLLING DOMAINS WITH HIGH LEVELS OF HYSTERESIS USING QUALITATIVE MODELLING
This paper presents an expert system architecture for real time control. A qualitative model is used to predict future control problems and handle incomplete and uncertain sensor data. The architecture has been applied to urban traffic control applications where traffic slowdown or disruption is prevalent.
