INCREASING SYSTEM SAFETY FOR BY-WIRE APPLICATIONS IN VEHICLES BY USING A TIME TRIGGERED ARCHITECTURE
This paper describes a new automotive architecture that is based on a time triggered architecture. This is presented in conjunction with a framework for the application design of future by-wire systems in vehicles. Issues regarding safety, availability, longevity maintenance, costs, and fulfillment of standards are addressed.
