PICTOGRAM ROAD SIGNS DETECTION AND UNDERSTANDING IN OUTDOOR SCENES
This paper describes an expert system for the recognition of road signs. The method detects road signs by their color and shape. Road sign recognition is performed by multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural network classifiers. The method would also supply warning mechanisms for driver assistance.
