THE GLOBAL CHALLENGE OF INTELLIGENT VEHICLE/HIGHWAY SYSTEMS (IVHS) STANDARDS
In this paper, the author focuses on requirements and development in three areas of standardization in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS): 1) data communication links between vehicle systems and the infrastructure; 2) digital map databases for on-board navigation and driver information systems; and, 3) driver machine interface.
