HIGH-TECH TOOLS SOON TO GUIDE AREA MOTORISTS : THE ELECTRONIC MESSAGE BOARDS AND OVERHEAD CAMERAS THAT WILL GRACE TRIANGLE INTERSTATES COME COURTESY OF A FEDERAL GRANT

Electronic message signs and surveillance cameras will be installed on interstates in Durham, Orange, Vance and Wake counties in North Carolina thanks to a federal grant intended to help the counties handle congestion during the Special Olympic World Games in summer 1999.
