SPREAD SPECTRUM JOINT COMMUNICATION AND RANGING SYSTEM USING INTERFERENCE CANCELLATION BETWEEN A ROADSIDE AND A VEHICLE

This paper describes a spread spectrum ranging and communications system. Methods for cancelling the mutual interference between ranging and communications are proposed. Computer simulations show an improvement in the performance of both ranging accuracy and data bit error rate.
