GENERALIZATION OF SOME WELL KNOWN METHODS OF CALCULATION OF BOUNDARY LAYERS IN NEWTONIAN FLUIDS TO THE CASE OF NON NEWTONIAN FLUIDS
Investigation of the problem of boundary layer flows in non Newtonian fluids by using a modification of the well known methods of calculating boundary layers in Newtonian fluids by Goertler and Loitsianski. By generalizing the socalled Goertler's variable and Loitsianski's parameters, these methods are adapted to the case of pseudoplastic and dilatant fluids. This procedure makes it possible to calculate the boundary layers of these non Newtonian fluids for arbitrary potential velocities. (Author)
