KNOWLEDGE-BASED SYSTEM FOR RAILWAY SCHEDULING
This paper describes a knowledge-based railway scheduling system which uses global and local scheduling approaches. Scheduling conflicts are accommodated using a cycle detection and resolution scheme. A graphic user interface allows the user to interact with the scheduler to solve complex scheduling problems.
