PULSING LIGHTS WARN DRIVERS OF PEDESTRIANS : SANTA ROSA INVENTOR WORKS TO SAVE LIVES
This article describes a new invention that uses pulsing lights on the pavement to warn drivers of pedestrians. The LightGuard system uses flashing road-embedded lights that are activated when a pedestrian steps into the crosswalk. Pulsing lights are triggered and are visible up to 1,500 feet away, giving drivers an early warning to apply brakes.
