DETECTION OF TRAFFIC ANOMALIES USING FUZZY LOGIC BASED TECHNIQUES
In this paper, the authors discuss the development of a novel time- indexed traffic anomaly detection algorithm. The algorithm can accommodate "time of day", "type of day", "normal", and "abnormal" qualifiers. Fuzzy composition techniques are used to fuse multiple traffic descriptors in order to determine lane status. Each lane status is then fused to determine an overall road segment status.
