EVALUATING AUTOMATIC DEBITING SYSTEMS BY MODELLING AND SIMULATION OF VIRTUAL SENSORS

This paper examines automated toll collection systems through simulation. It describes how the concept of virtual sensors, designed for goal-directed sensing in autonomous systems, can be used in the design of the simulation. It also describes how discrete event simulation can affect the implementation of the virtual sensor concept.
