FLORIDA'S TRAVELER INFORMATION RADIO NETWORK

This article describes the Traveler Information Radio Network (TIRN) a statewide radio advisory program for intercity highway travelers that will broadcast over a commercial radio network in the state of Florida. The broadcast will provide traveler information as well as traffic, road and weather conditions. TIRN is considered to be an adaption of the Radio Data System Traffic Message Channel (RDS-TMC) in Europe.
