MOJLIGHETERNA ATT UNDER BILKORNING INHAMTA INFORMATION MED DET PERIFERA SEENDET : EN SIMULATORSTUDIE [ABILITY OF DRIVERS TO ACQUIRE IN-CAR INFORMATION THROUGH PERIPHERAL VISION WHILE DRIVING : A SIMULATOR STUDY]
This study focused on the impact of peripheral vision on how a driver acquires in-vehicle information. The study had two objectives: 1) to investigate a driver's ability to acquire information displayed peripherally inside the car without moving their eyes from the traffic scene, and 2) to illustrate the influence of various factors on the speed and accuracy by which the information can be acquired by the driver's peripheral vision. The effects of type of information information position, speed level and traffic condition were studied by using a driving simulator.
