TRIAL OF TARGET VEHICLE DETECTION BY USING SCANNING LASER RADAR
This paper describes the development of an experimental scanning laser radar that is can be used on curved roads and is able to measure the distance and direction of obstacles. The configuration of the experimental system is first described. This is followed by a description of the method of target vehicle detection by using reflectors located along roads. The paper concludes with a discussion of the performance of the system.
