TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS IN TAIWAN

This study describes traffic control systems in Taiwan. It first focuses on freeway traffic surveillance and information systems. The framework and components of the system are described, followed by a brief discussion on two different systems. The study then describes urban computerized traffic signal control and information systems. Focus is on the computerized traffic control system in operation in Taipei.
