DAMAGE CONTROL MONITORING SYSTEM

A proposal for a shipboard damage control monitoring system is presented. The need for a monitoring system is established and a method is shown for inexpensive installation of older ships. The proposed system uses a network of fire and flooding detectors in individual compartments, connected via a power line carrier to a microcomputer.
