AIR-FUEL RATIO CONTROL USING A SIMPLE MICRO-PROCESSOR
A control system is described which uses a simple micro-processor in conjunction with a control algorithm which utilizes engine speed and mass air flow to result in air/fuel ratio control plus/minus 0.5 A/F for the federal driving schedule. A comparison is made to conventional speed/density approach and the described micro-processor complexity is reduced; the memory requirements are halved; and the execution time is faster resulting in the possibility of assigning additional control task. /GMRL/
